1972 Colt Python .357 Magnum 2.5" Nickel Unfired & 100% NIB
If you are an avid Colt handgun collector, and only the best of the best will do, you will want to take a close hard look at this little jewel!
‘Dirty Harry’ is proud to offer you this 100% NIB 1972 Colt Python .357 Magnum 2.5” Factory Nickel revolver (serial # E34773). This spectacular 50-year-old Colt Python is an absolutely show-stopper folks! Originally purchased by an Alabama police sergeant in July, 1972, this Python was put away in a safe and never used in any capacity since. Overall condition is 100%, w/ no scratches (not even the minute hair-line scratches you normally see on Nickel handguns), no blemishes, and absolutely no distractions of any kind whatsoever. The factory original nickel finish is like a mirror, and the factory original checkered Colt service stocks are as perfect as the rest of the gun. All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing, minty barrel & cylinder bores, and the pistol has never been fired since leaving the Colt factory. I have had dozens of high-quality nickel Colt revolvers, but this one is simply the best, period.
The package is 100% complete, including the factory original woodgrain two-piece Colt box, which is numbered to the gun (in mint crisp condition), all of the factory original Colt paperwork, and the original Colt sight-adjustment tool in its original envelope. According to the Colt Archives letter, this revolver was shipped on July 11, 1972, and delivered to Aeromarine in Birmingham, Alabama. Aeromarine was one of the country’s top Colt dealerships back in the 1950’s-1970’s, w/ many ultra-rare Colt pistols going through their doors. This is an investment-grade revolver in every sense of the term, and would be an excellent addition to any high-end Colt collection.
Again, if you are only looking for the best handguns that money can buy, you would be very hard pressed to find a finer example than this absolutely perfect 1972 Colt Python .357 Magnum 2.5” Factory Nickel revolver!
