If you are a collector of fine Smith & Wesson handguns, this is one that any avid collector should certainly have on their priority list. ‘Dirty Harry’ is proud to offer you this gorgeous very early first-year 1950 Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 27 .357 Magnum revolver (Serial # S 76725), featuring the popular 3.5” pinned barrel, and the sought-after factory Nickel finish. Other factory features include: recessed (counter-bored) cylinder, short-throw hammer, finely checkered topstrap w/ matching barrel rib, grooved forestrap & backstrap, adjustable rear sights, and checkered walnut stocks w/ silver S&W medallions. This pistol is all numbers matching throughout, and still resides in its numbered factory original gold box w/ original accessories, which definitely sets it apart from a large majority of others that are out there. Overall condition is excellent throughout w/ only collector-type handling marks & a light turn line on the cylinder. The factory original Nickel finish is bright & shiny w/ no fogginess, and the factory original checkered walnut stocks are simply mint. Again, all numbers match on this revolver, including the checkered walnut stocks. The package is 100% complete, including the factory original gold S&W two-piece box (numbered to the gun), the original ‘Helpful Hints’ brochure, and original S&W tools, including the screwdriver for adjustable sights. According to Smith & Wesson historian Roy Jinks, this revolver was shipped on June 23, 1950, and delivered to Frank Budge Co., in Miami Florida. First-year 1950 Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 27 .357 Magnum revolvers are highly sought after by collectors, especially the 3.5” factory Nickel examples such as this. This pistol will only appreciate in value in the coming years, and will certainly be an excellent addition to any high-end Smith & Wesson collection.
