This is one of those rare pistols that is a must-have for any serious Smith & Wesson collection. ‘Dirty Harry’ is very proud to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1973 Smith & Wesson Model 50 .38 Chiefs Special Target revolver (Serial # 935J54) featuring a 2” pinned barrel, factory blue finish, adjustable rear Target sight, and checkered Walnut square-butt stocks. The Smith & Wesson Model 50 revolvers were never offered in the Smith & Wesson catalog, and were only produced in limited quantities from 1955-1975. This rare pistol is one of only (568) units produced in 1973 for B.E. Hodgdon Inc, in Shawnee, Kansas. Rated @ 99%, overall condition is simply excellent! The factory original blue finish is bright & shiny throughout w/ only the slightest signs of handling, and the factory original checkered walnut square-butt stocks are beautiful w/ crisp checkering. All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing, and mint bore. This is a collector-quality revolver in every way. It has been lettered by Smith & Wesson historian, Roy Jinks, which shows that this pistol was shipped on March 13, 1973, and shipped to B.E. Hodgdon Inc, in Shawnee, KS.
