Smith & Wesson collectors, here is special pistol for your high-end collection. ‘Dirty Harry’ is proud to offer you this investment-grade 1952 Smith & Wesson .45 Military Model of 1950 Pre-Model 22 revolver (Serial # S 86439) featuring a 5.5” pinned barrel, a factory original satin blue finish, and factory original checkered walnut Magna stocks. This revolver would be nearly impossible to upgrade, period! Built on the square-butt ‘N’ frame w/ five screws, this is a rather early example of this model, as production began in 1951 w/ a serial number range of approximately S 85000 thru S 236000. Rated @ 99%+, overall condition is simply excellent throughout! The factory original satin blue finish shows nearly no signs of ever being handled, the factory original checkered walnut Magna stocks are simply mint, and the case-coloring on the trigger & hammer is still very vivid. All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing and minty bore. All numbers are 100% matching on this revolver, including the checkered square-butt Magna stocks. This near flawless Smith & Wesson .45ACP Model of 1950 still resides in its factory original gold two-piece S&W box which is numbered to the gun, and includes the original ‘Helpful Hints’ brochure. According to the letter from Smith & Wesson historian Roy Jinks, this revolver was shipped on July 22, 1952, and delivered to Belknap Hardware Co. in Louisville KY. As I mentioned previously, any upgrade would be nearly impossible!
