Smith & Wesson .38 Terrier 2" Blue Circa 1955 Factory NIB
If you are a vintage Smith & Wesson collector who is only interested in perfect 'UNFIRED' 'NEW IN BOX' guns for your high-end collection, then you will certainly want to look very closely at this gorgeous pistol! ‘Dirty Harry’ is very proud to offer you this 100% ‘NEW IN BOX’ 1955 Smith & Wesson .38 Terrier revolver from the 'Petersen Collection'. This gun was purchased new in 1955 by Ray Shapero, and then along with a dozen or so other S&W revolvers, was acquired by Robert E. Petersen, founder of the world famous 'Petersen Museum' & as well as 'Hot Rod Magazine'. This outstanding Smith & Wesson .38 Terrier is built on a round-butt frame and features a pinned 2” barrel, an absolutely perfect factory original bright blue finish, and a set of gorgeous factory original checkered square-butt magna stocks. This revolver is ‘UNFIRED’ since purchased new, and is as close to FLAWLESS as you will ever get. Again, overall condition is ‘AS NEW’ throughout w/ NO distractions, NO signs of handling, and NO turn line. If you see any smudges at all it is the grease that I wiped off before taking the photos. All mechanical functions are absolutely perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing and minty bore. The package includes the factory original blue/grey two-piece S&W box which is numbered to the gun, the original 'Helpful Hints' brochure, and the original cleaning tools. Collector-grade guns w/ such great history in such pristine untouched condition rarely come along, and I must say that I am very proud to offer this stellar pistol. Again, if you collect only the best of the BEST vintage guns, then you will not want to miss this amazing revolver.
