Smith & Wesson .357 COMBAT MAGNUM Pre-Model 19 4" Blue
S&W Model revolver collectors, here is a special pistol that you will not want to miss! Out of my personal collection, I am offering you this gorgeous very early 1956 Smith & Wesson .357 Combat Magnum Pre-Model 19 revolver (Serial # K 260164) featuring a 4” barrel and a near flawless factory original deep blue finish. Smith & Wesson introduced the new .357 Combat Magnum in 1955 at serial # K260001, so this pistol w/ serial # K260164 is the earliest Pre-Model 19 Combat Magnums that I have ever come across. The .357 Combat Magnum double-action revolver was built on the four-screw K-frame, which is slightly larger than the standard K-frame in the yoke area, and features a 1/8” Baughman Quick Draw on ramp base front sight w/ an adjustable micrometer click rear sight. This is a collector-grade pistol in every way, shape or form! Overall condition is rated @ a strong 99% w/ only the slightest signs of ever being handled. The factory original deep blue finish is bright & glossy w/ no fogginess or thin areas whatsoever, and the factory original checkered walnut Diamond Target stocks are absolutely mint. All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing and minty bore. The package includes the factory original greyish-blue S&W two-piece box, which is numbered to the gun, the original S&W ‘Helpful Hints’ brochure, and (2) letters of authenticity. According to historian Roy Jinks, this revolver was shipped in this exact configuration on July 12, 1956, and delivered to Stoegers Arms Co. in New York City, NY. This is a very special highly-collectible Smith & Wesson revolver that will only appreciate greatly in the coming years.
