Colt Python .357 Magnum 2.5" Nickel Circa 1966 Box/Papers!
If you are a serious Colt firearms collector, either you already have one of these jewels stashed away, or you are still searching for an investment-grade example to add to your high-end collection. ‘Dirty Harry’ is very proud to offer you this absolutely ‘mint’ 1966 Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver (serial # 55239) featuring the 2.5” snub-nose barrel, a gorgeous factory original Nickel finish, and beautiful factory original checkered Colt stocks w/ gold Colt medallions. This pistol is an absolute show-stopper folks, and has obviously been meticulously cared for & pampered since day one. Overall condition is 99% throughout! The factory original Nickel finish is like a mirror w/ no dulling whatsoever, and only a very few ultra-light handling marks that can only be seen @ certain angles. The factory original checkered Walnut stocks are minty just like the gun itself. This ’66 Nickel Python Snubby does not appear to have been fired since leaving the Colt factory (and if it was, it was obviously very, very little). All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing and minty barrel & cylinder bores. The package includes the original Colt two-piece woodgrain box w/ yellow end label including the white ‘Nickel Finish’ label (the serial number is on the bottom of the box but very feint and hard to read), and the original Colt paperwork. According to the Colt Archives letter, this revolver was shipped on September 6, 1966, and delivered to Melvin Tyler of Tyler Grips Manufacturing in Oklahoma City, OK. Again, if you have been searching for a mid-60’s Nickel Python Snubby that will make your eyes pop out of your head, you will want to take a very close look at this beautiful pistol!
