1964 Smith & Wesson Model 57 .41 Magnum 6” Blue As New!
Smith & Wesson collectors & fanatics, here is a pistol that will be an incredible addition to any high-end Smith & Wesson collection!
‘Dirty Harry’ is very proud to offer you this absolutely stellar & heavily documented first-year 1964 Smith & Wesson Model 57 .41 Magnum 6” Blue revolver! This museum-quality example was shipped on June 10, 1964, to Olympic Wholesale Co. in Los Angeles, CA. and was purchased by Frank Pachmayr of ‘Pachmayr Gun Works’. It was then given to Paul Liebenberg, who worked @ ‘Pachmayr Gun Works’ at the time, but then went on to be the co-founder & Chief Design Engineer @ S&W Performance Center. This pistol left the factory w/ all of the desirable options that Smith & Wesson collectors such as myself have come to love, including: red-ramp front sight, white-outlined adjustable rear sight, target hammer, target trigger, and gorgeous Goncalo Alves target stocks.
Overall condition is as close to ‘Brand-New’ as you will ever find, and it is blatantly obvious that this revolver has been ‘meticulously’ cared for the last 56 years. The factory original blue finish is bright & shiny throughout and absolutely exquisite in every way! The factory original checkered Goncalo Alves stocks are as ‘minty’ as the gun itself. All mechanical functions are perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing, and shiny barrel & cylinder bores. The package includes the original one-year only Smith & Wesson wood case w/ blue velvet lining, as well as the factory original S&W cleaning tools. This pistol is wonderfully documented w/ the original Smith & Wesson shipping invoice to Olympic Wholesale Co. (original price of $86.06), the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation letter by Roy Jinks, as well as a signed letter from Paul Liebenberg verifying ownership history.
This is an investment-grade revolver in every sense of the term, and will only appreciate in value in the coming years. You will never find a finer example of a first-year Smith & Wesson Model 57 .41 Magnum pistol, period.
