Vintage Colt fanatics, here is a pistol that is an absolute must-have for any high-end Colt collection! ‘Dirty Harry’ is very proud to offer you this ‘scarce’ collector-grade 1955 Colt Marshal .38 Special revolver (Serial # 837171), featuring a 2” snubnose barrel, a near-flawless factory original blue finish, and beautiful factory original checkered walnut service stocks w/ silver Colt medallions. This pistol is an absolute show-stopper folks! The Colt Marshal .38 Special revolvers were manufactured from 1954 thru 1956 w/ approximately 2500 units produced. To find an example in such ‘pristine’ condition w/ its factory original box is quite rare to say the least. Overall condition is a 99% throughout. The factory original dual-tone blue finish is bright & shiny w/ all of the matte blue areas showing no signs of handling, and the factory original checkered service stocks w/ silver Colt medallions are as ‘minty’ as the gun itself. This is an investment-grade pistol in every way, and has obviously been meticulously cared for & pampered since day one. All mechanical functions appear to be perfect w/ tight lockup, accurate timing, and shiny barrel & cylinder bores. The package includes the factory original Colt clamshell box, which is numbered to the gun, as well as a Colt Archives letter. According to the Colt Archives letter, this beautiful Colt Marshal .38 Special revolver was shipped on August15, 1955, and delivered to the Hudson Sporting Goods Company in New York, NY.
